About Us
Sol Systems is a Washington D.C. based solar energy finance and development firm committed to making solar energy affordable and accessible to homeowners and businesses. Sol Systems is built on the principle that solar energy should be an economically viable energy solution.
The SREC market should function to provide owners of solar energy systems economic incentives for the development and operation of their systems, and to provide large-scale energy suppliers and utilities the opportunity to purchase these SRECs. Where these SREC markets exist, we improve how they function. Where these SREC markets don't exist, but should, we build them.
Our History
Sol Systems is a company founded by two friends, one involved in renewable energy development, the other a fixed income securities broker, both of whom thought it time to do more to make a difference. Sol Systems was created upon the basic premise that while government incentives exist for the development of solar energy resources, there is a significant lack of awareness of these incentives and an underdeveloped market to take advantage of these incentives. We aim to change that.
